Do you have trouble drying your back after a bath?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24986points) December 17th, 2017

Am I the only one? My towels are not working properly. What do you suggest?

You’re a big guy, like me. I use two towels. One for my lower body, one for my upper body. If I use just one, it won’t completely dry me…

I also shake off, like a dog, before I get out of the shower.

^shake off? Does it really help us? I thought dogs do it because of lots of hair..)~

Yes, I know what you mean. There is an area in the centre of my upper back that is difficult to reach with a towel.

No. I have these HUGE freakin’ towels.

I don’t bother to dry my back. I don’t even dry my body that thoroughly, just enough so that my clothes don’t get dripping wet. My clothes absorb what ever little bit is left and my body heat drys it all in no time.

@imrainmaker . It really helps. And I have a decent amount of body hair, but not crazy. I wring my hands across most of my body, to get most of the water off, before I even grab a towel.

Lots of big towels. My gang at the pool laughed today. I forgot most of my towels when we went yesterday so I went overboard today. Brought an extra bag just for towels. One bath sheet size for my body, one bath towel for my hair, one bath towel for drying off my arms and legs, a small towel to sit on, a hand towel for my feet. It was glorious and I was so dry by the time I had to layer on the polar fleece and outer wear.

The bath sheet is great for getting all of my back dry. It’s all about working the angles.

The worst thing is trying to put a bra on when you aren’t completely dry. I just had to add that. I know it’s not helpful.

This is kinda embarrassing to admit. I don’t actually own any bath towels. I just put on my clothes. My hair is half a inch long so that helps.

We were running out of decent towels too. FINALLY I scored about 5 big, fluffy, brand new towels at Goodwill.

Why there’s shortage of towels suddenly..)

Are you using fabric softener on your towels? If so, stop as it makes them less absorbent.
