On phone, which is dying, and arm on ice. I’m dying to know if this is true!

here are a few links talking about what is discussed in the article regarding the emails. I think it is true

The source is a blog is written by a guy called Bill Palmer. I don’t think there is any evidence for what he is saying and this story hasn’t been reported anywhere else. The Palmer Report is known for publishing highly speculative anti Trump articles. You can get a better idea of what is going on from the BBC

What makes Palmer authoritative? Why believe him instead of the WP, WSJ, or CNN? He seems like a blogger only.

Color me dubious.

Thanks you guys. I was suspicious too. All the links in the original article led right back to the Palmer Report and some other mysterious site—Axios. Just can’t fact check very easily on my phone. (And I need to follow myself!)

Quick search brought up some not so good things about the Palmer Report.

The site has been criticized for building a large following based on “wildly speculative theories about Donald Trump.”

“The Atlantic’s McKay Coppins called the Palmer Report “the publication of record for anti-Trump conspiracy nuts who don’t care about the credibility of the record.”

I merely skimmed the article, because I was flooded with ads. I typed into google Robert Mueller emails, and what came up is what I posted.

And I looked at them. Thanks @SergeantQueen.

I am so disappointed. The person who posted this originally was someone I went to high school with. He hates Trump just like the rest of us. However, when I presented to him what I learned about that publication he just said “I’ll choose to believe it until it proven false.”
I was like….I thought we were supposed to hold ourselves to a higher standard than the crazy conservatives. It’s that attitude the kept the birther movement alive.

and I think that shows that there are faults and issues on both sides. Not all Conservatives are crazy and not all liberals are all decent and good either. I really really wish people would stop generalizing, and try the very best to get along. I am not a huge fan of Trump either, after recent events. I still want him to succeed as president because wishing the leader of your country to fail is stupid.
I think both sides want a common thing: a fair country with equal benefits for all and a good leader. We have different ideas on how to get there, and how to achieve that but I think if we try our best to work something out, we can get it.
People can’t say that they want a country that’s unified and works together on things, and then sit and insult everyone with a different view. and FYI, those people that are classifying themselves as “Nazi’s” are not conservatives. They are Alt-right. I do not identify myself, or other decent conservatives with them. Just like you most likely don’t identify yourself with extremist left groups like “Antifa” Most of the people you consider “Crazy” conservatives aren’t even real conservatives. Just extremists.
That mentality your friend has “I’ll choose to believe it until it’s proven false” is a mindset many people have, on both the left and right. It’s ridiculous and lazy. If people don’t learn to fact check research before making articles or debating, they are becoming apart of the population that is brainwashed and stupid. Not sure how we are going to be a unified country if we can’t even spread true information and get along with other view points. we aren’t going to get anywhere or progress if we can’t do basic things such as that. I don’t agree with everything conservatives believe, and I don’t believe everything Liberals believe. I used to be more conservative, but I consider myself more moderate now.
We need to work together, get true and honest facts, and work on improving our country and making us truly great again. What most extremist liberals and conservatives are doing (including Trump) isn’t accomplishing that.

As a more related note, typically if an article is spammy with ads, or is written by an unknown/not super popular source it typically isn’t reliable. Of course, there’s exceptions to that and it’s always better to fact check than to embarrass yourself by spreading lies.

I only wish people would do their best to tell the truth.

Hmm, why would someone spend energy inventing bad stories about Trump, when Trump generates actual bad stories about Trump so frequently?

I suppose he could just be an attention-hound. On the other hand, I wonder if he’s intentionally generating fake news so pro-Trumpers can say “fake news” and be right about it, taking attention away from true bad Trump news.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Right? In this case someone invented hope for us. I really wanted it to be true.

NomoreY_A's avatar

I hope its true. I notice that any anti Republican blogs are always
suspect but any nonsense pertaining to Obama or Hillary is, oh jolly gee, Gospel! The garbage about Obama being a Muslim born im Kenya is absolutely true I’m certain.

Dutchess_lll's avatar

I don’t believe everything I hear about Trump, but I want to.

Wasnt there a bubble gum rock song about Trump back in the day? Rockin’ in the treetops all day long, tweeting and ah tweeting and ah singing his song, rockin’ POTUS tweet tweet rockin’ POTUS…catchy little tune that was.
