What happens if you have mastered the fruits of the spirit?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24886points) December 18th, 2017

All nine. Can you list them? Also what are the opposite of virtues 7 and two more to make 9? Is the fruit of the spirit charisma? Can you list both fruits of the spirit and the seven or nine deadly sins?

I can’t list them without looking them up, but I know what it is.
If you have truly “mastered” them, by which I assume you mean you are committed to regard them as virtues, you probably have a shot at being reasonably happy.

I only know the seven deadly sins because of that movie Se7en. :)
I would say those are to be avoided for the same reason. Especially envy, sloth and gluttony which cannot lead to anything good.

According to the Epistle to the Galatians: ” ... the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”

I’m more familiar with the works of the flesh:

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like

After you have mastered the fruits of the spirit thou then moveth on to mastering the vegetables of the soul.

Vegetables of the soul. I like that.

After thou hast . . . thou movest

All this fruit and veg could do with some meat.

Yea, verily the fruit and veg of the loin.

Genesis 35:11

Not to be confused with the Shakespearean: To meat or not two veg, or some such.
