Where can I find a detailed map of weather patterns in the Bay Area?

Asked by zina (1661points) July 25th, 2007

I'm interested in something that shows patterns (not just that week's forecast) - a daily fog movement pattern, average temperatures at different times of year, days (or better yet, hours) of sun, etc. I'd like to see not just by city but by smaller areas - for instance the striking difference between the Mission and the Sunset in SF.

I don't know a place for that (but I'm excited to find one). SF Ports has a lot of the data you're looking for: http://sfports.wr.usgs.gov/sfports.html
(You can do a time-series plot of two stations in various locations)

Also, the very cool modeled wind field over the SF Bay area: http://sfports.wr.usgs.gov/cgi-bin/wind/windbin.cgi
