Do zoo animals hibernate ?

No, because their food is never scarce.

In the zoos around here, yes…

I would say that it depends on the zoo. But animals who hibernate should by all means be allowed to do so. Domestication of animals in a zoo is something I do not approve of. If you want to see a bear, well don’t go to the zoo during the winter because it’s in hibernation.
