I have yet to see anything that pussy grabber says or does as correct.
I wouldn’t confuse Trump’s tweets with ‘taking a stand’, there is no consistency and not much thought goes into anything he says. Just last October he was saying this…
“The Pakistani government’s cooperation is a sign that it is honoring America’s wish that it do more to provide security in the region,” Trump said.
“I want to thank Pakistan. They worked very hard on this and I believe they are starting to respect the United States again,” Trump added.
I have no clue and I’m tired of wasting emotion on the idiot. I just wish they’d deport him out of the White House. He does not belong there.
Here’s the problem. How do you determine the “stand” on any issue through arbitrary statements erupting from a man with the attention span of a 6 year old. Consistency from Trump around any issue aside from that of his own magnificence is impossible to discern. Bad enough that his pronouncements invariably display a breathtaking ignorance of whatever topic involved; the gist of WHATEVER he says is always beyond interpretation due to the man’s unprecedented flexibility with the truth.
The US has no foreign policy. A tweet does not make a foreign policy.
Trump is clueless about Pakistan. He saw something on Fox and jumped on it.
Don’t take Trump seriously unless there is a competent adult in the room.
I would have quietly approached Pakistani leadership with a carrot vs stick approach. But what do I know? I’m an engineer, not a politician.
As a Pakistani-American it deeply saddens me to say this, but I can tell you that from it’s inception in 1947, Pakistan has been a loyal and consistent friend of the US, up until Clinton Admin abandoned that loyalty in favor of India (for the greed of the potential size of it’s population/market.
Pakistan has lost/spent close to 17,000 lives & billions of dollars in the War against Terrorism, and yet, when politically convenient, US government shouts (to anyone who doesn’t know the reality) that Pakistan is not doing enough.
Pakistanis are proud, loyal and astute. They have no tolerance for fair-weather friendships and that’s precisely why they’re now entirely focusing on their 50+ year deep friendship with China. Something they’ve cultivated and nurtured since the birth of modern day China.
What the Trump admin is doing now (and what the Obama admin did before), amounts to nothing more than: “oh yeah, well I never liked you…” real-politic tantrums, after the bull in the china shop has done its damage.
