How could a person who has everything still be jealous of another?

I know a person who has the money, cars and even the girl show irritation when someone else finally gets a piece of what they have. Is this normal and why would a person who has everything resent another person who finally has a piece of what they already have?

Because material things, and treating other people as a commodity, is not fulfilling. The person who supposedly has it all is comparing his own inner being with the other person’s external happiness and is envious.

The person you are talking about has no sense of measuring a person’s worth, and will never find contentment until they come to value people for their intrinsic worthiness.
