On numerous occasions I’ve been given weird looks from my friends when I put grapes in a chicken salad. Not sure if it’s just them or a large number of people actually dislike it.

grapes, apples, mandarins, ananas, it is all fine.
Yes, but not whole grapes – they need to be sliced down the middle. Seedless and green.
I would never put red grapes in chicken salad.
I’m also not a fan of walnuts in chicken salad.
Never had it with grapes, but I would try it,I love chicken salad.
No. I don’t care for unlike textures or flavors much.
Yes. I like them and walnuts in chicken salad.
Best chicken salad I’ve ever had was from a Chicago suburbs deli with chopped walnuts and sliced grapes. I loved it.
Yes, I do, but I prefer them as raisins in a chicken salad.
Sure. Great in the summer time.
I was out of cherry tomatoes for my usual cold bean & vegetable salad I take to work. I put in grapes instead. Very good!
Since I am a vegetarian and don’t eat regular chicken salad, I can’t say for sure, but I’m pretty certain that I would like grapes, especially red seedless grapes, in a “mock chicken” salad of a similar type. I would also like it with dried cranberries.
The cafe at my college serves chicken salad wraps with grapes sliced in them, and it’s pretty good to me. It depends on a person’s tastes and what they’re used to…this question made me think of how my freshman year I had a roommate from Texas and she told me how they make their chili down there without beans. And I was like…what? How is it chili then?! Lol
