Why is the post not showing on my timeline?

Asked by Dutchess_III (47069points) January 6th, 2018

I’m cleaning up my FB. I set it so I could see what people who are not on my friend’s list see (public posts.) I’m trying to avoid pinpointing my age…it’s for in case an potential employer should peruse it.

Well, there is a post about the hamburger gravy they used to serve in schools in the 60’s. I shared it on Dec 1, 2017. I didn’t realize it but several of my posts were defaulting to public (another reason I’m cleaning up.)
However, I can NOT find that post on my timeline anywhere.

Any suggestions for me?

FWIW, I just went on your FB to try to find and and there were so many from just the past few days that I couldn’t stick with it to get to one that might be there from Dec.1. So you are probably in the clear through reader’s inertia! :-)

Sounds like it is on your FB friend’s timeline.

No, I finally found it by going through the “Activity Log” option. Took about forever but it’s done!

Lord I Facebook a lot!

@janbb actually, I wasn’t looking on my timeline. Go to your account and find the “View Activity Log.” Don’t click on that! But next to it are 3 dots. Click on those and the option to “View as,” comes up. When you click on that you can see what anyone in the world would see if they decided to check you out. That’s where I was looking.
