I guess I was interested in the opinion of others outside the U.S.A. on just about everything. But even the U.S. has many different regions and sociopolitical mindsets that may come from who’s around you.
Where are you? Where are you FROM?
I read opinions and perspectives all the time on Fluther and have always felt we are of one place—but I realize we come from many different nations, regions, and locations.

I’m from New England, and I’ve lived and worked in many different parts of the US since the late 70s. I’ve also traveled to Europe and Asia for short work visits. Fifteen years ago I relocated to Connecticut, where I’ve lived since then.
Last Friday morning I decided to come to Hawaii, so I flew out on Monday and I’ve been here since then, with a Saturday evening return. (No sign of Jake so far, but I haven’t been looking, either. I had a different agenda.)
It’s been a nice visit; I’ll have to come back someday.
I live in Charleston, SC. West of the Ashley. Just moved back to West Ashley, after being a flood refugee. Got a very old, tiny house. I’m hopeful that I can rebuild my life here. The last three floods took everything.
I was born in Columbia, SC. I’ve lived in Germany, and traveled Europe, before settling in back in South Carolina.

@ucme Are you near Seaham? My sister in law is from there.
I am located in Reno, Nevada. I live close to downtown and attend graduate school at UNR, but I grew up in a house on the outskirts of the city surrounded by pine forest. I love this area. Reno is known mostly for being a “Vegas lite”, but it’s actually a nice place to live and surrounded by beautiful terrain.
@zenvelo Yeah you mentioned that before, I’m pretty close to there just along the coast
