Are spammers working overtime today?

This was the most activity I’ve seen in ages and yes, two thirds of it was spam.

The Spammers heard there was a drop in Activity on Fluther. ;>)

All of my “Activity for You” was spam. At least it woke up some questions.

There was a time when every 1 second you reload any page you got new spammers on the Community Feed. That was what caused the mods to change the login algorithm.

Then one day one spammer posted on one question every 1 second. They got to hundred posts before getting banned.

One of them is. The 75 spammy posts that have woken up old threads today are just the work of a single ambitious guy.

Holy hell lol I got 24+ notifications. Right away I was like “Probably spam”

I got 36+ notifications I marked all activity as read.

If you think this morning was bad, this evening was far worse!

Well, that was an adventure!

I think I caught everything, but if I missed something don’t hesitate to flag it again. Our inboxes are pretty flooded right now!

This came to mind with all the spamming today: No matter how many times you save the world, it always manages to get back in jeopardy again…. Sometimes I want it to just stay saved, you know? For a little bit… I feel like the maid: “I just cleaned up this mess! Can we keep it clean—for 10 minutes?”

Funny the spammers start coming in mass just around New Year.

Tonight’s wasn’t a spammer, it was an old troll.
