Do cruise ships have a brig?
What does it look and feel like being in one?

A jail? Probably? Like a normal jail cell but somewhere underneath where the guests are. Monitored by cops.
Considering cruises can last for a few months and are not always near land, they would have things like cops, hospitals, a mini jail, in case something bad happens. Then, I’d assume they’d get to land as soon as possible and the person would be taken care of
I’m sure the larger ships do. Probably just a small holding cell. Doubtfully much more than a lockable room…
It’s probably on one of lower levels, where the crew lives. So it would have less motion. I get sea sick, so I might prefer it to my cabin…
According to Jack and Rose they do.
Yes, the larger ones do. They prefer to confine problem-guests to their own quarters. But for the worse cases, the larger ships do have a brig (or they can improvise one). It’s often a steel-walled room or rooms or barred space near the security office.
Here is one example.
I imagine it “feels like” you just blew your fare and being concerned about what the next port of call’s justice system is liable to do with you.
I’m pretty sure they do, though I imagine you won’t find photos in the brochures.

The laws of the departure port usually apply. They take you back for prosecution.
Though it would be tempting to threaten dropping them off to keep them behaving.
