We brush her and so forth but boy her fur is full of static.
Just petting her is one static light show.
Is there any simple ways to reduce this static?

Add humidity to your air and/or a little bit of moisture to your cat.
Rub her with a non toxic dryer sheet?
@Zaku how do you add moisture to a cat?
She has water available to her 24/7.
Non toxic dryer sheet?
How do you know it’s a non toxic one @KNOWITALL ?
Get some more moisture into the air. Simmer some water in a old pan on the stove. (I was thinking you could spray some laundry softener on a rag and wipe the cat down or tie a dryer sheet on the cat’s collar like a little tie…) Put a couple of the sheets in where the cat sleeps might help…
@SQUEEKY2 Depends on how tolerant the cat is, but externally – a very gentle mist from a spray bottle (for tolerant cats) or just a little moisture on a cloth that you pet them with.
Theoretically a good ionizer can also work.
Put the cat in the dryer with a dryer sheet.
Isn’t static electricity more common in dryer environments? Would a whole house or whole room humidifier work?
@rojo Yes. See the first five words of the first answer.
Soooooo you didn’t mean spraying the cat down with a hose??
Why not regularly lick the cat?
@rojo After those first five words, I wrote “and/or”, followed by “a little bit of moisture to your cat.” :-)
Hosing down the cat would be effective at removing static electric buildup on the cat (if you manage to hit the cat), but may have other consequences.
@ragingloli That would um, possibly be one way to add moisture, but I’m not sure everyone would be into it.
@ragingloli plus with catlicking you end up with these little hairs on your tongue unless you are lucky enough to have a Peterbald.
