Does it terrify you that Trump is getting rid of everyone in his cabinet that has a shred of morality, and replacing them with mini-hims?

@Dutchess_III: “Does it terrify you that trump is getting rid of everyone in his cabinet that has a shred of morality,”

Premise of question is flawed. Need evidence for that shred of morality.

Wait, who had a shred of morality?

It’s just what you would expect from a President with no moral compass. With Trump at the wheel, there is no alternative to scandalous ethical shortfalls as the executive branch converts to a refuge for inept know nothing hacks and toadies blended with self serving sycophants.

It should terrify everyone who voted for him. The rest of us are just biding our time until he gets ousted or awaiting the end of time.

@kritiper ^ Yes, the more those corrupt bozos turn on each other instead of focusing on their backwards agendas, the better, it seems to me.

as the rudderless country drifts along.

Trump gets rid of anyone that stands in his way for whatever reason. The man in charge of the United States has the closed mind of a dictator and I think we should all be deeply concerned by that.

@stanleybmanly Better rudderless that full steam ahead towards environmental destruction, corporate domination, Bible law, xenophobia, etc.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Well, think again. It’s pretty much full steam ahead on all of those things and an honest to goodness stupid and insane person is at the helm.

Morality is not the main issue here. The man is simply in way over his head. And what’s worse, he doesn’t know it and he doesn’t care.

Terrify? No. This is sadly what I expected all along. What terrifies me, is that he still has some supporters. Trump has never been the problem. It’s his supporters who give him a voice, and his position. Otherwise, he’s just a rambling idiot.

I had a much higher opinion of our country, than it deserved. The fact that almost a third of our country consists of the type of people who lack the ability to see Trump for what he is is scary. The fact that some know, and simply ignore it to further their own agendas, is worse. And of course, there are some who are just racist, xenophobic, greedy, stupid, hatefilled, assholes. I thought such idiots were dying off. Going the way of Strom Thurmond. But I guess conservative households pass such bigotry, and stupidity on to their offspring.

I don’t think it matters. If it is as they say it is in the White House. They won’t last but a few months. He tends to hire people with huge egos like himself. It’s what attracts him. He doesn’t like appopologist, so eventually they will say something that pisses him off and want them to apologize. And if they do, then he thinks it make them look weak, and if they don’t and say something contrary to him, then he looks weak. So then he wants them out. The only way to get out of it is to lie and deny, but the pesky media will usually find out the truth. Who can last in an environment where you are bound to fail.

He reminds me of a rule my mom made where I was bound to get punished. If I came home alone without my brother, I got spanked. If I came home after dark, I got spanked. So one day I came home after dark because my brother refused to go home right away.

Dutchess_III's avatar

@Pandora I think he likes to hire people who are even dumber than he is and THAT’S scary. I can’t believe Trump has lasted this long.

Zaku's avatar

@Dutchess_III I just meant that at least replacing their staff probably isn’t as efficient as keeping someone in… though maybe it doesn’t make much difference since they’re not really doing much constructive anyway.

Pandora's avatar

@Dutchess_III Oh,I think it’s great that he would only hire people dumber than him. It means that they are all more likely break laws and get caught. And dumb people aren’t as dumb as smart people. What I mean is that dumb people believe in surviving. They are quick to speak out. Smart people will carefully skim the law so that they may not get in trouble and so they are less likely to talk. Stupid people are quick to sell out others to survive.
A dumb person may confess to stealing money, but will quickly jump on making a deal by giving the law a bigger fish to fry.
