In retaliation for messing with the USA vote will, or should, the world mess with the Russian election?

Umm… that’s what the US does. Everywhere.
We need to stop this new cold war Russia nonsense. Now.
No. Two wrongs do not make a right. Besides, it would not make much of a difference.
Considering that the main opposition leader, Alexei Navalny, has been barred from standing it is pretty messed up already.
There is no doubt Russia interfered in the US elections we just don’t know the extent of it but to reply in kind would be downright stupid.
The bird gets it right. Meddling in the Russian election is a waste of time, since the “election” itself amounts to little more than a parody of Western practices and is irrelevant when it comes to who sits atop the mob government. The entire farce is equivalent to “voting” on leadership of the Capone mob.
What about the reverse? That the United nations brings observers to guaranty a fair election?
@RedDeerGuy1 Too late for that, there aren’t any voting irregularities when only one candidate is allowed to run.
No! We should lead with a good example and not meddle. (“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”) Sanctions, yes, meddling, no.
@kritiper: “No! We should lead with a good example and not meddle.”
Way too late for that.
Without having read the previous answers, I would have to say that sounds like tit-for-tat to me.
@RedDeerGuy1 IMHO We have done way more than our share of election meddling in other countries.
@thisismyusername Maybe, but it’s never too late to be that way, to (always) do what’s right.
Why bother?
What difference would it make?
They could vote for Hillary, if they want to.
I won’t be visiting there. No matter how it goes, they will still have to wait in line for three hours to get a big mac.
They didn’t mess with the vote.
It is a definition issue. They messed with the votERS.
It is proven there were those who attempted to influence the election through provoking voter discontent.
In that way they did influence the vote, whether successfully or not.
The Russians got more than their money’s worth.
