Are there, or have there ever been, any Jewish Formula One race car drivers?

Asked by JLeslie (65790points) April 7th, 2018 from iPhone

My husband loves Formula 1 racing, and I see them race on some of the tracks in the Middle East and wondered if there was ever any problem with Jewish team members gaining entry into any of the countries. I’ve heard some countries don’t allow in people with Israel stamped passports. I don’t know if that’s true.

Maybe Formula 1 is actually void of any Jews? I’ve never noticed a blatantly Jewish surname, although one of the German names might be Jewish, sometimes it’s hard to tell. Doubtful though.

I don’t have a serious answer, but from the movie Airplane…

Elaine: Would you like something to read?
Old Lady: Do you have anything light?
Elaine: Uhh…how about this leaflet, Famous Jewish Sports Legends?
