Do you ever feel that every question has been asked already?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24986points) April 11th, 2018

Including this one? What questions are original and groundbreaking in Fluther? Have you asked an original question? Have I ? Is it true that Fluther is a content farm that Wikipedia thinks of us ? I tend to ask variants on domestic and career advice over and over.

It’s not Wikipedia that thinks we are a content farm, it’s Google. And they don’t think we’re a content farm because the questions are unoriginal. They think we’re a content farm because other sites steal our content, which makes it hard to determine which site is the originator and which is the aggregator. That’s what a content farm is, after all: a website that contains large quantities of content that is either aggregated from other sites or produced in large quantities with little to no regard for quality in an attempt to secure a high ranking on search engines.

Most, yes.
Wonder how many question had been asked and answered, so far?

@RedDeerGuy1 No problem. To answer your actual question, though, I think it depends on how you determine if a question is new. A question about tomorrow’s news will obviously never have been asked on Fluther before because the news has to happen before you can ask questions about it. But it will almost certainly fit into a category that has plenty of existing questions (for example, there are plenty of existing questions about what was breaking political news at the time). I think it’s unlikely that we’ll see a new type of question anytime soon, though.

No, life is ever changing, so our questions will change with the times, too.

I don’t know but does it matter whether it’s been asked previously or not?

No.

What questions are original and groundbreaking in Fluther?
Fluther has too many questions to begin to consider them all. Many are similar or repetitive, but even those often have a personal aspect to them.

Have you asked an original question?
Yes.

Have I ?
Yes. (You’ve asked 1066 questions – you’d better have!)

Is it true that Fluther is a content farm that Wikipedia thinks of us ?
What?

I tend to ask variants on domestic and career advice over and over.
Yes.

I kinda felt like all ground had been covered when I saw the question about how does one feel after committing murder, but then I saw one about going to hell over a stolen beer.
After that I realized no matter how much ground we cover, there is probably still another direction we could go.
