Are there always "concentration-like camps" at National Conventions?

Very interesting. I would assume that non-violent protesters would be booked, processed and released fairly quickly. If that’s the case, I can see why it’s so “bare bones” (though it does look awful!). If they’ll be held for any length of time, it seems like it’d be cruel and unusual punishment, as there isn’t anywhere to sleep. To answer (or not) your question…I’ve never heard of it before, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened before.
