Have you ever called or visited someone who's gone missing, just to see if they're all right?

(Someone outside your family, that is.)

Let’s say they’ve been gone from your class for some time, or your church, or your club, or whatever.

Do you notice? Do you care? Do you check on them?

We’re not assuming they’re dead. It’s just that something has changed and you want to be sure they’re okay. And maybe there’s something you can do to help, and maybe they’re fine and now you know to leave them alone.

The question is: do you contact them to find out?
