Does anyone make RCA Phono -> iPod Connectors?

Asked by bpeoples (2551points) August 17th, 2008

Looking to input line audio to the ipod, and would rather not build it myself if I have to, and don’t want to go through a random series of cables to do it.

Go to Radio Shack (or any store that sells electronics). The cables are around 6 bucks. Paying 30 for one is insane.

Yeah, that’s true.

Nope—other way around!

I have an audio source that I want to record with the ipod, not playing the ipod through another source.

Try again? =)

You’re right! I’m amazed they took out the function, but it works with my iPod nano running PodLinux:

This turns out to be what I want: http://home.swipnet.se/ridax/connector.htm?connadpt.htm

(click on iPod Line in/out adapters about halfway down on the left)

Apparently some mfgs have made devices in the past: http://www.jr.com/macally/pe/MCY_IVOICEPRO/
