For me “nasty taste” = chuck them out!!!
IF it’s just the lemon that doesn’t work with the sausage you’re not going to eat them so chuck them out.
IF they are going bad & just don’t taste good no need to make yourself sick so chuck them out.
I think you can see the pattern here CHUCK THEM OUT

Do you mean the ingredients include Lemon?
List of ingredients for Johnsonville original recipe breakfast sausage: Pork, water, corn syrup and less than 2% of the following: pork broth with natural flavorings, salt, dextrose, monosodium glutamate, lemon juice powder (corn syrup solids, lemon juice solids, natural flavors), flavorings, BHA, propyl gallate, citric acid, collagen casing.

Good advice will chuck them now. Edit done.

You know I hate wasting food. Since lemon is one of the ingredients I’d eat them anyway, over a period of 3 days. I’d chalk it up as a learning experience.

According to Topical Willie it’s barely a trace of lemon juice. They certainly don’t taste like lemon. But if they taste nasty give it to the dog.

@Dutchess_III What did his dog ever do to you??? laughing

Lemon sausages? That sounds fucking disgusting. I love lemon, but it just does not belong with certain other things. Lemon pepper fish is foul enough.

I agree that Lemon Sausage sounds disgusting. However, Lemon Pepper Chicken is delicious!!!

I like lemon pepper chicken, too. Love the sauce!
