75 hours a week isn’t too much is it?
400 hours a month, maybe 399.
When you are checking your Fluther when using the bathroom then you might need help.
My computer is on Fluthter about 18 hours a day; however, I’m not on Fluther all that time. I do my housework, chat with friends, check out the local news, check the obits to see if it will do me any good to get out of bed, go to lunch, check in with those I volunteer with, etc. During that time, I occasionally check to see IF there is anything worth taking my time away from my real life!!! Some days Fluther creates my mental illness & other days it save me from going right over the edge!!!
@LadyMarissa… from what I’ve seen in the past week there are about 1 or 2 questions a day. Not particularly good ones. The banter is, well, quite tedious for the most part. How can one spend more than am hour here a day is beyond me. There simply is nothing to read. 18 hours?
When your eyes hurt from the screen time then you are overdoing it.
Seven on Social so far today. I learn things that others may already know on occasion. Someone asked about Alexa at hotels. I had no idea hotels have Alexa. Granted, I don’t spend any time in hotels, but it’s still something I learned today.
@yesitszen Fortunately you raised the percentage of quality questions last week. ~
@yesitszen Did you really read what I said??? I said that “my computer” is on Fluther for 18 hours. Then I qualified that with I’m busy doing other things throughout the day & check on the status off & on during the day. The actual length of time that “I” am on Fluther varies with the questions asked There are days that it doesn’t take much to entertain me & days that I can’t hold on to a thought long enough to respond!!!
I give Fluther it’s own tab & I hit refresh as I’m passing by my computer. There are also some posts that are so volatile that I don’t even bother to consider responding!!!
@LadyMarissa I also have Fluther open as a tab, although I rarely close the tab itself, so it’s up anytime I’m using my computer.
@SergeantQueen I find it more efficient to keep the tab up & open so Fluther is ready for me whenever I need it. Some days I find Fluther frustrating & I don’t check it very often. Other days, it’s tons of fun & I don’t want to do anything else. Even in the midst of a battle, I enjoy most of the people here!!!
Just to clarify, I have fluther open as one of like 10–20 tabs. It’s not also up visibly on my screen, especially if I’m on netflix or doing schoolwork
I understand as Fluther is my first tab & during the course of my day, I check my local news, local newspaper, obits, shop on Amazon or eBay, check my emails, pay bills, watch vids on youtube. At the end of the day, I have had as many as 50 tabs open; but in the midst of all this I can flip back over to Fluther at any given moment to see what I’m missing!!!
This keeps me reasonably well balanced!!! ;)
I search every five minutes from TV to radio to Fluther Chromebook to Fluther smartphone and am almost always charging my phone or Chromebook. Except at night where I sleep.
@yesitszen sorry…it was meant in the spirit of supporting the thread!!!
I hide here for distraction & mental illness may well be behind my reluctance to face the world and its attendant realities.
