Jeff Sessions wants to do DNA testing on the immigrants crossing the boarder. What do you think of this?

My first thought is the US is so behind on DNA testing for criminal cases, how does he think this will work? He says it is to protect children from human trafficking. I’m not really believing his excuse for something I feel is illegal. What do you think?

C’mon. Let’s not even entertain this fucko. He’s a despicable piece of shit that needs to be stopped.
Unbelievable! Finish the rape kits first .
They’re dehumanizing these people anyway, so this is one more step in the process. Not really surprising. It’s another link in the police state. Pretty soon, you will need to give your DNA when you go to vote, or renew your drivers license.
Seems like an awful waste of money, though.
It is totally appalling, as is their entire immigration policy.
I missed that tidbit. I’ve not read very much in the past couple days.
Sounds like the Methodist Church are going to start the equivalent ex-communication, for child abuse and other things.
As a once member of the United Methodist Church I whole-heartedly agree.
Whatever the law will allow.
It’s so they can prove ancestry. Ya know, whose parents are whose.
Yeah @kritiper that is more important than solving all the rapes and murders we have a backlog on DNA testing. ~
@kritiper: “It’s so they can prove ancestry. Ya know, whose parents are whose.”
First of all, you don’t even believe this, right?
Second, if that was the intention, it would make no sense. As in zero sense. DNA tests do not tell us who the parents are. Parents are not by definition biologically related.
You know exactly what this dystopian shit is all about. Just stop.
~ ~ ~ It beats tattoos on the left arm with serial numbers. :^0
j.k.
@Tropical_Willie – that’s next. Wait until they start build crematoria in south Texas to make the immigrant problem go away.
@chyna and @notnotnotnot and anyone else: Take it or leave it, believe it or don’t. I call ‘em like I see ‘em.
And I follow my own advice: NEVER assume ANYTHING! Because when you assume, you make an ass out of you and me!
What is the DNA testing for?
Ever since his election I’ve been wondering just how Trump would hang himself. Who would have guessed that the greatest crisis in his administration thus far would be about snatching babies? It’s fascinating that Trump can’t field people to contain what is clearly a public relations catastrophe. Both he and Sessions should shut up. The DNA suggestion is the sort of gasoline that any fool should realize you don’t want near this fire. Next he’ll suggest the babies be tattooed with serial numbers.
@kritiper: “Take it or leave it, believe it or don’t. I call ‘em like I see ‘em.”
You’re shootin’ from the hip and pullin’ no punches?
If someone has to tell you “I’m honest, really!” it raises lots of questions in my mind,
@kritiper
Five worn out cliches in one post. Impressive.
@elbanditoroso At least there is the question of truth instead of flat out not believing.
@dutchesslll Supposedly to see that the children are with their correct, biological parents. Makes no sense.
Those trying to get in have little on no documentation to prove if they are the parents of children or not. Maybe Jeff Sessions thinks he can find out through DNA tests. Even if he couldn’t, maybe he thinks it’s a place to start. But he’s obviously no expert in the field of DNA, so how could he know he can’t?? Maybe the CIA has a way…
Maybe “God” will help him with the tests…
Dead or alive, there’s your rat IMO.
Wow.
Also, how are they going to get those 2,000 kids back to their parents?
Yet another window into the mindset of the Trump administration.
First I want Sessions to take a DNA test to verify he isn’t a house elf.
I have discovered by watching the TV news that genetics can indeed be proven/discovered by DNA testing, like saliva swabs. They’re doing it with cold-case criminal investigations.
