Have you ever experienced a Deja Vu?

Asked by PIN_24 (549points) June 21st, 2018

One day at work, I had a task assigned to me and the file I was working on, appeared very similar to the one I had worked on a few days before. Then, the file was cross checked by the same editor as earlier.

Sure! They’re surreal. With me they involved just knowing you’ve been to a certain place before. I wish I could experience one everyday. But it’s quite rare.

@aster I agree. However, knowing something or having a feeling of “been there” is still a common thing. I am talking about reliving an entire day in the same chronology like in the movie “The Groundhog Day”. I lived a whole day in a repeat mode, predicting what would happen next. Still, I was not able to change any if the sequences as then unfolded right in front of me.

@PIN_24 Good heavens! I’ve never heard of such an experience ! Were you sober that day?

@Aster I was in my complete senses. I can’t possibly live an entire day hallucinating. It felt like my life was a movie, which I had rewinded to a perticular scene. It just substantiated my doubt that our lives and its events are predetermined and we all are just playing our roles.

Can’t believe that this question has come up again.. Seems like it was just yesterday I last saw it.

Seems like I’ve read @rojo ‘s comment before!

@rojo and @janbb I was waiting for your same responses on this same question all this while just like yesterday. Hence, I proved my point. Deja Vu is real.

Frequently.

On a more serious note, yes, I do experience Deja Vu on a fairly regular basis. I hope it is all a mental problem and not that I am having to relive a particular life because I f*cked up the last one so badly.

My jamais vu met my déjà vu and my psychiatrist said if it happens again to come here and tell you to call yours.
