I just made some zucchini bread and froze half of it (which was recommended for storage by the cookbook I used). I will need to defrost it at some point, but I’m not sure what the best way to do that is? Let it thaw in the refrigerator? Sit on the kitchen counter? Warm up in the oven?

let it sit on the counter, then put it in the fridge, then you heat it up. :)
Amazingly, I just got a mini-loaf out of my deep freeze. I am leaving it on the counter. Just b/c I am impatient and want a piece this afternoon, however.
Typically, I just plan ahead and put it in the ‘fridge overnight. We buy breads when they are on sale and deal w/ them the same way…..
leave it on the counter till its defrosted
I just pop it in the toaster if I don’t have time to thaw it. Otherwise, I just leave it out on the counter for a while.
If you have time, leave it on the top shelf of the fridge (the least cold part) to defrost – it’ll keep it out of sight while defrosting and you can pat yourself on the back for being energy efficient if your fridge is set by temperature :)
I second (or third) leaving on counter and then heating up before consuming.
follow my advice it works all the time.
wherever you decide to put it, unwrap it completely, and then put it on a plate on top of a paper towel, and drape another one loosely over it. Breads often sweat a little while defrosting, and if tightly wrapped they can get soggy. This shouldn’t be too much of a problem with zucchini bread though. It typically freezes and defrosts really well.
I’m a little jealous of you. I LOVE zucchini bread!!
just had my snack. My zucchini bread had choc chips in it. Yum!
I always put it in my Microwave. It is always warm when it comes out and great with peanut butter on it.
counter is cool but I like hot bread so I toast mine. It will be fresh and soft inside.
