I guess Cool Hand Luke. It’s a good story and he was young and cute.
I’ve only seen a few but I don’t think anything could be better then Cool Hand Luke.
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. I think it is just perfect.
(although Cool Hand Luke is awesome, good pick guys)
I’ll third Cool Hand Luke. My first-ever internet handle was coolhand, but it didn’t have legs, being too popular.
I echo the cool hand Luke sentiment.
He did a great voiceover in Cars
and finally who can forget his portrayal of Ceasar on his salad dressing. Classic.
Cat on Hot Tin Roof! He is AMAZING as Brick in that movie! He acts Elizabeth Taylor under a table and more that stands his ground with Burl Ives as Big Daddy. “Mendacity” indeed!!! I would put The Hustler in second place.
I would agree with SuperMouse about ‘Cat on a Hot Tin Roof’ and ‘The Hustler.’ I’m surprised no one has mentioned them before.
My favorite late-career movie of Newman’s is ‘Nobody’s Fool.’ That movie is a real little gem!
I have always like ‘Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid’, I went to see it went it first came out and also had the album soundtrack. Yes it was a record not a CD, DVD, etc…
I like both of those actors actually. But I think I liked Robert Redford a little more.
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was archetypal for its time.
The sting, or cool hand luke, their both very good. i still need to see butch cassidy and the sundance kid.. =(
