He’s right in that the Democratic party is fairly useless as an effective counter to right wing knucklehead conservatism. But he is dead wrong on every one of his accusations against the Democrats when it comes to defending marginalized groups. It is the one category where the party maintains its credibility. That nonsense about liberals trampling on the rights of straight white men is beyond laughable and an insult to common sense. And then there’s the stupid advice of “walk away”—- the solution for dummies. Walk away to what? Walk away and leave the current moron and his spineless sycophantic GOP toadies to wreak havoc? I’ll stick around, thank you. Ignorance and stupidity must be recognized and ridiculed for what it is.
That he was a liberal who “once loved” the Democratic Party means he was already irrational to begin with.
It was just a salad of anti-SJW tropes and anti-left hysteria.
What should be concerning is that the sort of things said in this video, the hysterical anti-left outrage mongering and whining about some imagined anti-white oppression and the “extreme left” taking control of the media and political parties, is that until a few years ago, these were fringe tropes of actual fascists and similar reactionaries and ethno-centrists.
And now it’s mainstream.
As an actual radical leftist, who is painfully aware of how impotent and insignficant the left actual is, it’s troubling that the sort of authoritarian technocratic capitalism espoused by an organisation like the Demcratic Party, and corporate owned media like CNN and MSNBC, is somehow conflated with anything I think.
This fool may be right to “walk away” from liberalism. It’s just a shame he appears to be walking right into something much worse.
He looks kind of Latino. Are we sure he’s not one of the millions of illegal immigrants that voted for Hillary?
There is some truth in what he says but overall it is a very one sided and biased outburst. The style reminded me how salesmen on the QVC channel sell products. They move quickly from one benefit to the next not giving you a chance to think and so (sometimes) overwhelming your critical faculties. Walk away is good advice. That’s what I did. It is propaganda.
