Don’t worry – I’m not dying. I just bought a bunch of organic bananas for my granddaughter who is coming for a few days and they’re still very green.

Leave them out on the counter where it’s warm.
I don’t mean this as a joke, but: buy your bananas one week earlier.
Funniest starter of a question this week, imho
I’ve read that you can use the microwave. Here’s one source. Never tried it myself, so if you do, please let us know if it works.
@rebbel usually I have the other problem; they get overripe too fast which I hate.
@janbb Hrmmm, difficult matter….., I’ll give it some more thought.
In the meantime, there are still some days to go, so I would test the other Jellies’ suggestions out, on some of the bananas, and let one banana ripe on its own, for science sake.
Yup. I’ll see what happens by tomorrow. They are in a bowl with the apples on a warm counter.
In regards to bananas ripening too fast, I discovered this year that bananas that are on the point of ripening can be refrigerated to retard the process, they turn black—ish on the outside but are perfectly good inside.
So…the bananas…how’re they doing???
Are they in a paper bag?
You need to trap the ethylene gas to make them ripen faster.
@Tropical_Willie They’re in a white paper bag; didn’t have a brown one. Should that work?
It’ll work, paper breathes, plastic would hold the moisture in.
How many days has it been??
Day &: Bananas still green. Company is gone. Immortality apparently indicated!
@janbb Can you cut one?
If it is hollow I think that you’ve been sold the fake bio bananas from the display unit.
