If you miss your last bus what will you do?(question for interview)

I walked 50 blocks after missing the last bus. I did successfully beg a tranist driver that was out of service to take me half the way.

Call Uber or catch a train. Whichever one is feasible.

If any of these are operating in your area, you can obviously call an Uber, Lyft, or cab. If none of these apply to you, your other options are to walk or ask a family member or friend to give you a ride. It’s important to be aware of bus schedules so as not to make the same mistake again.

Well if you miss the last taxi, you ask someone to call you a bus, right?

I once called to say I had missed the last bus, and that I had no cash, no options and a little girl with me.
It was a short, loop route. They notified the driver, and he came back after he ended the route.
Sometimes city bus companies will send a manager out to pick up stranded passengers.
Your options depend entirely on many variables, cash on hand, location, do you have a phone, and many more.

I will already know where I am and have a good knowledge of geography, and I like walking and am not afraid to walk at night unless it’s a dangerous neighborhood, so I’ll either walk or possibly call an uber or cab or friend, depending on distance and whether anyone is counting on me being home or getting up early the next day for any reason.

I’ll simply call a cab. It might be pricy but it’s one-time fee, it’s not like I’ll be late every now and then. You can’t expect people to never late, this kind of thing is simply one of those obstacles in life that you don’t need to think too much and just fix it.

Use the emergency cab charge docket that my new employer gives to each employee in case of emergency and repay them out of my next pay.

Immediately call my employer that I will be late as I am calling my friend/cab/whatever to get there as soon as possible.
This question is really about responsibility to the employer and they wish to know if you even thought of the company. Possibly the employer would reschedule the persons work schedule to accommodate or even pay for a taxi to pick you up and have it taken off your pay?
It s all about being a responsible employee.
