Are we all following the Trump European comedy tour?

No so much comedy as tragedy. He diminishes America with every word spoken.

I find it all incoherent. Just what is Trump’s attitude toward Russia? He has advocated having Russia rejoin the G7. He even said that Russia is entitled to Crimea because they mostly speak Russian. Was this supposed to be a joke? Then he criticizes Germany for buying natural gas from Russia. And he complains that other NATO nations don’t pay their fair share. Why would we need NATO if not for Russia?

Uh, yeah. Russia is the reason for NATO…

Am I following Trump? Pfft. Like I follow storms, I guess….

Like I have a choice. The media is all over it. Not really impressed yet.

No, that is not true, I am impressed the no European leader has said “He is such a dick!” (well, not out loud anyway) Wonderful old world restraint.

It is quite obvious they hate him almost more than we do…yet Trump’s response is, “I think they like me a lot in the UK.”

They are keeping Trump well away from population centres where enormous anti Trump protests would be expected. At the moment he is holed up in Blenheim Palace in rural Oxfordshire where police estimate 1,000 protesters have turned up.

I think the Europeans have resigned themselves to regarding Trump’s term in office as “America’s time out”. The leaders smile and humor him to maintain the decorum due a President, but everybody knows “there’s nobody home.”
