What is the longest you could wear underwear, before you felt uncomfortable?

I’ve not been in the shit like you have by any means and I don’t pretend to understand what you went through. I can say, though that I’m good for about 48 hours backpacking before I change and wash the other pair in the stream.

I don’t intentionally ever wear one pair for more than one day, but it has happened on trips when I didn’t have time to change or neglected to bring enough clean pairs. More than a day with the same pair on and it starts to feel janky :P

So you’re asking at what point the crustiness factor becomes too much. Depends. If I’m having a string of good days, maybe 10 days. If I’m having a bad day, maybe 1 hour. Or less…

When I was a teenager I could go a month without changing. Now I need a clean pair every day. Else I get ichy.

Truth is, I don’t like to wear underwear. I do sometimes; it depends on my clothing choice for the day.

While traveling I bring 2 pairs of underwear (including the pair that I wear) and I’ve put on the same underwear 2 days in a row. No way would I go 3 days in a row.

I need to be clean. I need to shower every day. I need to wear clean underwear every day. I start to feel very nervous and anxious if any of those things get delayed for even a day.
