We just finished up the most recent season on Netflix. It’s a terrific show. Whenever I watch it, I think of the personalities of some of us Jellies (not that we are in prison, but some of us seem similar in personality).
For those of you who watch the show, do you ever associate any of us Jellies with any specific inmates at Litchfield? No need to name names (although you can pick out someone who you think reminds you of your own self if you want).

Not at all interested in prison shows.
Though I am delighted to know, that Janeway is finally in prison.
We just started season 6.
The personalities on the show really shows extremes. No one on the show is a decent person. Guards are sadistic, power obsessed jerks. Prisoners are hateful, brutal, manipulators.
But can I refuse a women in prison show?
No one on the show is a decent person. Guards are sadistic, power obsessed jerks. Prisoners are hateful, brutal, manipulators. Sheesh, that shows what @Kardamom thinks of some of us! :-)
I thought it was about Trump taking over from Obama.
I don’t relate with anyone on the show but my Netflix account pic is Crazy Eyes.
Yes, everyone is in prison. Each character may, or may not have done something illegal to get themself landed in prison.
People start out one way. Some people stay the same or get worse. Some people change in ways that you might not have expected.
The show is not just a “prison show”, but a glimpse into human behavior.
My question was not to suggest that anyone is a criminal. I have been watching this show since the beginning. The characters are complex. That is why I asked the question.
I was not interested in watching Orange is the new Black, and because of a very slow internet access speed do not and cannot use Netflix. However, my wife wanted to watch it so we rented season one. I was blown away. Though I was sure that I would not watch more than episode one (to make her happy), binged watched the first two DVDs. Except for the fact that disk two had problems freezing and restarting several times—gave up watching track three and never was unable to play track four’s ending—eagerly watched the third DVD and look forward to number four. We learned things and terms I’d never even knew existed; although I was aware the conditions in prisons and the lack of support after a prisoner is released are the main reasons for recidivism. It’s a ‘bad’ (meaning good) series and look forward to renting season two.
