Oh, Aretha. How much will we miss you?
We just lost one of the most iconic singers, artists, activists, most beloved people of the late 20th early 21st centuries.
So much R-E-S-P-E-C-T for a Natural Woman.

RIP to one of the greats.
A few weeks ago, I referenced her song “Until You Come Back To Me” as the best song of the ‘70s. Now, I might expand that to EVER.
I am sure she was great, whoever she was.
She was met by George Michael at the gates of heaven & she said
“I knew you were waitin
knew you were waitin for me”
A rather startled George politely informed her he was waiting for Elton John as the old queen is still standin.
I have never been much of a fan but she was the first woman into the R & R Hall and that was huge. She’ll be missed by many.
A great singer, hard to believe she’s gone R.I.P.
I suddenly wonder if Steely Dan’s Hey Nineteen was meant for @ragingloli.
Hey Nineteen
That’s ‘Retha Franklin
She don’t remember
The Queen of Soul
It’s hard times befallen
The Soul Survivors
She thinks I’m crazy
But I’m just growing old
She was an amazing singer,I will miss her work.
We’ll say a little prayer for a legend! RIP
