If you have one in your desktop PC, what mp3 playlist creator and manager do you use?
In my previous computer, I had Music Match Jukebox, which would automatically add any mp3 that I played to its playlist.
My present pc only has Windows Media Player, which is a PITA.

I had M’bytes on my old comp; I’d better download it before I do anything else.
You are better off with downloading drivers directly from the manufacturers’ websites.
Musicmatch Jukebox brings back memories. I think I might have actually paid for that in days of yore.
I’ve used iTunes since 2004, because it broadcasts the music to an Apple Airport Express router, which has an Audio Out to connect to a stereo. From any computer with iTunes I can play to either the living room hifi or kitchen table radio. Or both. I know people love to hate iTunes, but it works great for me.
But iTunes definitely does NOT have the simple playlist management you like.
I’m with @ragingloli – go to the source for driver updates. Otherwise you’re trusting an unknown and imperfect source.
As for playlists – there are so many, and they all offer features that are just a little different from the others. It really depends on what’s important to you. In my opinion the best MP4 player is VLC – hands down. But their playlist capability is OK, but not exceptional.
