What would you think about having an AI, as the POTUS?
Assuming that it was not capable of biases, or being irrational.

It would at least have one thing over the current one.
Skynet would be an improvement over the current one, no doubt.
A Commodore 64 would be an improvement, at least a C64 would be consistent and not all over the place with tweets and other rants.
What is the AI programmed to optimize? Is it programmed by someone who leans to the left or someone who leans to the right? If it learns by being trained, how do you set up the training scenarios.
I am really frightened by the prospect of putting robots in charge.
I know details, are important. But. The question assumes that the AI, is for lack of a better word, perfect. It isn’t biased, is incapable of emotional responses, and just has the best for our country in mind.
It would still be checked, by human congress…
I appreciate what you are saying, but what I am saying is that there is a subjective aspect to what is considered perfect. We must be careful in how much control we turn over to technology.
I suppose the basis of the question, was meant to ask how you would feel about a leader that is actually not for any “side?” If there were truly such a candidate, I don’t think it would be popular.
Impartial evidential calculation of the quantitative and qualitative impacts prior to policy decisions, heresy.
^Could you elaborate, please?
AI could learn to tweet the key phrases in milliseconds:
Make America great again
Believe me
Fake news, fake news
I have done nothing wrong.
It could be years before anyone noticed the difference
Like I said. It’s more about an unbiased leader, who would not be impressionable, or corrupt.
