I had doubts, but the walls are closing in I really doubt he will last the whole term.
It hasn’t been four years. I’m not giving up hope. Deary me. What a disaster.
He will last the entire 8 years.
It was pretty evident that he will make it at least three years, because the GOP controls Congress. Even if the Dems take both houses, impeachment would take most of 2019.
I really don’t think he has a chance of being reelected. I’m pretty sure that quite a few people who stupidly voted for him now realize they made a yuge mistake….although why they could’t see that before hand is beyond me.
He will win again for the same reason he won in the first place: Because people think “there is no way he can win”, and then do not bother to go vote, because of that.
I did not but he has had a lot of Republican support from those who don’t like him but are either forced or coerced by party politics to support him and thus party over country.
@ragingloli What an optimist you are loli! I hold the leese on cynicism here! Surely you living in the land of the promised “thousand year reich” realize that people can learn from their mistakes.
@stanleybmanly
If recent history has shown anything, it is that people do not learn from their mistakes.
I agree with @ragingloli for the most part. I thought he would last this long and that the people talking about impeachment were kidding themselves. I’ve also been observing the ways in which Democrats haven’t learned anything and will probably repeat their mistakes of 2016. Thus I believe there’s a strong likelihood that Trump will be elected again in 2020.
I think the biggest problem is that his biggest supporters are all filthy rich and can pretty much buy any office they want. The rest of them are just stupid.
The 2 together always prove a formidable alliance. And I resent being forced into the role of optimist. The rich and stupid alliance for all of its power, to me is still a case of just “some of the people, all of the time” For those of us who are neither billionaires nor illiterate, let’s see how many get off their ass and vote in November.
Was blatantly obvious he was going to ride out his first term & will definitely run into a second, as will all the constant whining & bitching from his many rather vocal detractors.
Eeh-merry-ka…the gift that keeps on giving :D
So glad we keep you amused @ucme .
Haha, don’t flatter yourself @janbb there are far better things to satisfy my amusement, just call it a free little bonus on the side.
I still can’t believe he was elected in the first place.
I still can’t believe it either.
I think he’ll go 8 years. The one thing the world has taught me is, the bad guys usually win. There is no God, or “goodness,” in this universe. The worst people have the best luck, and reproduce more than the decent people. I will again point to one of the best movies ever, “Idiocracy.”
Well, certainly if people who oppose him don’t even vote, he’ll win again!
The US, Trump & the snowflakes obssessed over him well & truly deserve each other.
The holy trinity of delusional arrogance.
Let’s see what Mueller has to say.
I thought he would make it to the next election and still do.
The Mueller probe has not released anything that looks like collusion, beyond that one meeting at Trump Tower. Even if it was illegal, it does not look to me like an impeachable offense. Putin has a lot of support from the right wing. He may have helped Trump in terms of securing low interest loans, but I doubt that there is anything in writing from Trump saying that he planned to return the favors.
As for the 2020 election, everything depends on the state of the economy. By 2020, it should be clear whether corporate tax cuts and trade wars benefit most Americans. My gut feeling is that this is a hurtful policy, but I am no expert. We will just have to wait to see how things play out.
