How many coins?

My 2 favorite things are, 1) this was my son’s brainstorm and 2) it gave me an opportunity to yell IT’S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!! to an actual rocket scientist! How cool is THAT?!

How many unique coins? or total coins? Do we count ghost images (blurring artifacts) as separate coins or exclude them?
