When cooking meat do you eat right when its cooked or do you let it wait for 5 minutes?

Also for other foods like rice crispy squares? I like eating when it tates and smells good. I rarely let it rest.

My hot dogs don’t need to rest for 5 or 10 minutes.

Depends on the meat. With a steak or a roast if you let it sit, it reabsorbs some of the juices. With a hot dog, not so much.

Although allowing meat to rest gives it an enhanced flavor, I’m one of those who just can’t wait!!!

I like to eat almost everything right away. That includes steak.

The exception is pasta dishes, pizza, and rice. Lasagna and pizza need to cool a few minutes so it doesn’t become mess when you cut it. Also, rice needs to cool a few minute before fluffing it up.

I wait for my butler to bang the gong & chef to stop sweating, I mean yeah, his job is on the line but let me enjoy my meal without distractions purleeze.
