Like after touching something there’s still a lingering feeling—especially on your fingertips? I have to touch other things to override it sometimes.

It’s nothing something I can recall experiencing.
I can remember the touch, and there is a sensation after a touch (and if I pay attention, a kind of echo in the body in the area around and connected to the part that touched), but I don’t remember ever continuing to feel it like I was still touching it.
Yes, especially when I really focus on it. For me it’s mostly on the palms of my hands.
Yes.
I have this frequently, when I use the palm sander.
After I put the machine down my fingers and palm feel like I’m still sanding, and fine motor skill tasks are harder during that time.
Not sure if this can be considered residual tactile sensation?
Lifting weights can always “feel” the bar for a short while after.
I get the same effect when dreaming of throttling the MIL
I used to much more than lately.
I am now experiencing pain with nearly every touch.
Nice, when that lingering touch is a kiss.
A common example of this might be the physical sensation of still being on the water when you land from a ship?
I get this when wearing headbands or head scarves. I can feel where they were “holding on to” my head. The couple of times I have worn something off-the-shoulder, I felt the elastic for a couple of days on my arms.
