Do you think the upcoming election boils down to a referendum on Trump?

Mosy yes, but also for several years now I have known a lot of people voting straight ticket Democrat who weren’t like that previously, or who were even registered Republicans previously, to not give the Republican Party one inch.
Edit: my husband was polled last week by the republicans and he told them he will not vote for one republican right now. I think this sort of feedback will cause some republicans to turn on Trump. It’s annoying, because I see it partly as just doing whatever to get elected.
More so than usual during midterms. And Trump himself views it as a referendum on himself.
Every midterm election is, in some ways, a referendum on the president.
Possible. It might also be a referendum of the Repubs performance or the performance of the Dems. In fact, I would put forth that it OUGHT to be a referendum of Congress. This is a midterm, not a presidential election.
