You have the opportunity to be given a superpower. Before you say "yes" and change forever, what are the downsides?

X-ray vision. Not everyone looks good in the nude. Do I really want to see all those naked bodies?

Super hearing. There’s too darn much rap and hip-hop in this world.

Immortality. Everyone I love would die, then the cycle would repeat to infinity. Plus, I’d still need to earn a livelihood, something I’ve never enjoyed doing.

Thor’s Hammer
Wouldn’t be very helpful in my day job as a furniture maker.

Don’t know if this would be a superpower, but maybe a magical ability.

I would like to be able to effortlessly, instantly, ‘teleport’ to anyplace in the world I’d like to visit.

This still does not deal with ability to pay for anything. Or make a living Therefore, money would be a problem. You could always ‘get out of jail’ for stealing but that changes the nature of the ability.

I might also find rather quickly that all the places I’d like to visit really turn out to be very ordinary once you get used to being able to go to them.

The ability to fly through the air at super speed.
Downsides; the danger of colliding with drones and aeroplanes plus it is so cold you could get frostbite.

Weather, wind resistance, windburn and cold would definitely be deterrents to flying, To be able to withstand these would be an essential component to the ability to fly.
