…Correction: “And what examples of debates shouldn’t take place/ shouldn’t have taken place?”
Of no consequence. Anyone watching such a debate, now that’s another question!
Who cares? Talking heads.
The only thing I can say on behalf of Frum is at least he has a modicum of intelligence. Bannon is a reptile.
I’m not sure what would be wrong about it; that’s an odd question to ask about this.
I’m interested in David Frum and I’ve liked what I’ve read by him, although it admittedly hasn’t been much. Can’t say I care for Bannon. A debate between them sounds interesting though.
What’s “wrong” is that giving Bannon an opportunity to debate validates his reprehensible views as equivalent to well thought reasoned conservative philosophy.
Frum is evil, and one of the main architects of the all the bullshit lies that led to the invasion of Iraq. Just having him next to Bannon doesn’t make him suddenly not an evil fuck.
Right? Wrong? Neither. It’s a debate. One I am not the least bit interested in, either.
