Do you wear T-shirts that announce your opinions?

Asked by Jeruba (56064points) November 4th, 2018

Not just political. Slogans, attitudes, wisecracks, insults, affiliations, support. Do you wear them?

If so, do you wear them to work or school, where there’s a captive audience, or only out in the larger world?

Exception: T-shirts that you have to wear as part of a work or school or sports uniform and that display the name, logos, or slogans of the organization.

I wear brewery shirts and shirts of various sports teams. Occaionally the latter gains me an insult at a game although less so now that I’m old.

But otherwise, no.

I deliberately use clothing that have nothing printed on them.
Last thing I want is being like those morons that walk around with “YAKUZA” shirts.

Not really. I sometimes wear shirts with brand names on them, but even that I do far less now than I did in middle school when I thought it was imperative that my shirts said “Abercrombie” or something like that on them.

I have a few humorous shirts with slogans on them, but those are party shirts that I only wear on special occasions, like my Party With Sluts shirt that I used to wear in college. Good times. I don’t have any political shirts, though.

Yes, I wear t-shirts. 99% of the ones that I own came from the company where I worked for 25 years. The only time I’ve worn them for work is at a conference when it was required.

Most have worn out or been given away. For those that remain, they are worn only inside my home or yard, or worn under some piece of clothing.

I’ve never worn a t-shirt that supports my opinion on a topic. I can’t imagine it changing someone else’s mind. And frankly, I don’t want to deal with any confrontation it might generate in a public setting.

Not shirts no, thinking of starting a range of designer underwear for men, thongs & such like.
Slogan would, of course, be…We Have Staff for That

I have a couple of shirts with the college football team that most of my state supports. I only wear them on game day. I have a hoodie with a huge paw print on the front because I like animals, but only wear it at home. And last, but not least, I have a pair of jelly fish socks that a fellow jelly got for me that I do wear to work.

I normally don’t – but if I can find this in my size, I would wear it without hesitation.

No slogans, no advertising. A small brand logo if I like the shirt enough. The exceptions are some freebie tees from events that I use for sleeping, and athletic shoes which always advertise themselves.

Generally not, but I might for a specific purpose (like a march or fundraiser or awareness campaign of some kind). I have a couple of Old Navy sweatshirts that I adore, but would love them more if they were sans logo.

No. Maybe a family reunion Tshirt.
Hubs had a family member who began suffering from a traumatic brain injury due to foot ball injuries in high school and college. It’s really a bad deal, so the coordinators of the the reunion had a bunch of Tshirts printed up to make people aware of TBI. My husband wears his a lot and it is super ugly! Cheap thin T-shirt, ugly pea green writing. Don’t know what good it actually did.
Maybe they should make anti-football Tshirts. I’d wear one of those.
