Which film is scarier to you, It Follows or Lights Out?

I’ve not watched either of them; so, I went to IMDB. According to the ratings, It Follows was rated a 6.9/10 where Lights Out was only a 6.3/10. By popular opinion I’d guess It Follows is the scarier. Of course, I could be wrong!!!

Was considering watching them both tonight. I wasn’t allowed to watch scary movies as a child. Hence, I only watched them with friends or by a personal friend’s recommendation. Hell, I was 22 y/o before I finally got to watch the original B&W King Kong. By then it wasn’t scary…actually kinda funny!!! Assuming I don’t get derailed, I’ll do my best to check them out tonight!!!

Kinda makes sense not to see scary films as a kid. Teens yeah sure. Saw The Exorcist and Jaws as a kid and they scarred me for life. Lol

I wasn’t allowed to watch them because my little brother was scared of them & my Mom didn’t like them. She said it wasn’t fair for me to watch them when he couldn’t. So, scary movies were banned from our home!!!

OK…now I have 2 words for you..YUCK & WOW!!!

These movies reminded me of WHY I don’t pay attention to the movie critics or ratings!!! Since It Follows was rated the highest of the two, I watched it first It was FREE on Netflix & I felt as though I had been charged too much to watch it. When I got to Lights Out it had to be rented at $3.99…it wasn’t available for free!!! I almost didn’t rent it; but, changed my mind at the last minute.

It Follows was slow to start, slow in the middle & slowed down for the ending, It had NO real plot & I had to work hard to be engaged with it. I almost turned it off several times & actually wish I had by the time it ended!!! I don’t understand how it got such a good rating on IMDB unless it had to do with the sexual undertones & half naked women running around!!!

Lights Out had a definite storyline from the get go, had a lot of action along with many twists & turns. The ending was somewhat powerful!! I really enjoyed watching this movie. THANKS for sharing ””& making my evening a LOT better!!!
