He isn’t shielded, but he is blind to it. The man has no sense of humor, as evidenced by his reaction at the White House Correspondents Dinner in 2011.
I have heard that he has aids who carefully screen what newspapers he gets to see….aside from that, I just don’t know how he could miss it.
I think it washes right past him, like water off a duck’s back. He knows, but he just doesn’t care. And he knows there is nothing he can do about it.
Look, the guy thinks he is above all others – smarter, more powerful, he uses the best words…so his ego doesn’t let him think he is being criticized, and when he is, it must be wrong (fake news!).
He’s just nuts, in other words.

I read a report that says that for the first time in 16 years there will be no comedian on the up coming White House Correspondence dinner. I’m wondering if it’s because Trump would be the target of any comedian.
He is aware as far as his limited sense of imagination would allow him. Best guess, he switches from being proud of all the attention to being bitter thinking he doesn’t deserve all the hate and ridicule.
@Dutchess_III That is because all the precious snowflakes in the Administration got their feelings hurt over a rather bland comedian this past spring.
Oh I reckon he pisses himself laughing at all the hate, must amuse him no end.
@KNOWITALL I think you are partially correct, he does know but I think it goes beyond not caring. I believe he honestly does not comprehend it. It does not fit into his world view.
Since trump THRIVES on attention, I’d think he’d fire anyone hiding that attention from him!!! IF you pay attention, he cannot go more than 24 hours without creating some form of controversy. IF it doesn’t appear naturally, he heads to twitter to create it!!!!
Negative news is better than NO news at all!!! He does NOT care what others think or say UNLESS it can get him some sympathy votes!!!
Well look at it this way he is saving standup comedians a ton of time and money not having to write their political jokes.

Did you hear him on the fires in California, said they needed to rake the forest floor like Finland does, Finland never said that.
He said his tariffs are working the US is firering up 7 shut down steel mills, the steel company corrected him saying uh no they were firing one furnace in an already existing mill, he came back and said 8 mills are firering up.
Does he even know what the truth is? on anything??

Today I saw a video showing how trump plans to stop hurricanes and it shows a guy raking the beach and frantically trying to push the water back. It was really funny.
The sad thing ih is turning the USA into a laughing stock,to the rest of the world and he doesn’t care or is to stupid to see it.
He is too narcissistic and stupid to see it.
