What are the differences , and similarities, between a role playing games pub and real life?

In the game you can get gossip and quests. Can you do that in real life? I can’t drink with my medications and would like to know what I am missing.

Well, the alcohol in an actual pub will get you actually drunk.

Also, I’d bet that vague smell of urine and vomit doesn’t exist in a role-playing pub.

There is no “Do over” or “Restart” button in real life !

Well, role-playing games (and the pubs in them) can vary a lot, too. In the ones I’ve run, there are also no do-over or restart buttons, the drinks will intoxicate your characters, and there may be a variety of smells.

As for gossip and quests in real-life pubs, absolutely, especially gossip! There are quests to be had, too, though I don’t recommend most of the real-life quests available from strangers in drinking establishments.
