So did anyone get sick with Salmonella poisoning this week?

Asked by Dutchess_III (47126points) November 25th, 2018

No one did here, in spite of the fact that the fried turkey didn’t get cooked 100% through. I watched my son take its temperature in 5 different places and it all checked out.
After I ate I walked by the carved up bird and did a double take….what little breast meat that was left was raw, LOL!
But we all lived and the turkey was very, very, very good.

When I read your question, I wondered if you had served romaine lettuce along with the uncooked turkey. Imagine how your guests would have felt with the double whammy of e.Coli and samonella!

I caught one of the worst colds I have ever had does that count?

Not unless you caught it from the turkey @SQUEEKY2.

(BTW…did you know trump’s mother gestated her turkey for 8 hours when trump was a boy?)

Not at my house. I have people with compromised immune systems here, so we take extra care to make sure that everything is cooked to the proper temperature, and everything is kept very clean, and refrigerated before 2 hours/ Doing otherwise could mean grave illness. It might not harm other people, but we have to be careful.
