Would you revisit some of Bertolucci’s films now that he passed away?

I’ve always felt The Last Emperor is a great cinematic masterpiece and would see it again asap.

Not really. I tend not to get emotional about artist’s death. If I wanted to see it before, I would.

No. I wasn’t a big fan of anything he did. Always seems too obscure for me.

I love the Last Emperor. My wife loves Last Tango In Paris.
I’ll try to see both again real soon.

@filmfann Just found out Last Emperor is available for rent in Amazon and price is reasonable. Glad I saw it when it came out and on the big screen using film projection. Epic drama, epic visuals. Cinematic heaven.

That single shot, that image of that horse riding warrior in full regalia announcing(?) or protecting(?) the infant Puyi got seared in my brain.

For anyone interested, just saw that The Conformist is in Amazon Prime right now.
