Has anyone seen the Coen Brothers "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs" yet?

Asked by janbb (63258points) November 26th, 2018

It’s their new film, was out in theaters for a week and is now on Netflix. I’m watching and it’s beautifully made but very dark. Would like to know others’ reactions.

Will see it soon as it lands on Amazon Prime. Excited since it got good reviews. Hope it doesn’t disappoint. Waiting for the next The Big Lebowski and Barton Fink.

Beautifully made.

@mazingerz88 Since it’s a Netflix Original, I don’t think it will come out on Amazon Prime.

Oh. Might pay Netlfix one month to see it then. Thanks.

We watched it on Netflix. Enjoyed it very much.

@Mariah I thought it was brilliantly done but the stories were so dark. The one I felt most strongly about was “The Girl Who Got Rattled.” That ended so sadly but there was true emotion in it.

I guess most of it were pastiches of Western genres or even ghost stories.

Much fun.

There’s a rattle snake?

Agreed on “Rattled.” That stuck with me.

It was the one with Liam Neeson being the odd one for me.

@rojo That one was the darkest and beautifully made but so eerie..

Looking forward to it. I saw it listed on the screen my wife and sister were parked in front of as I passed through the room.
