When you were in grade school did you raise your three middle fingers to single that you have to use the washroom?
Or was it just my school?

No, I just went, whenever I pleased.
Sometimes the teacher tried to prevent me from going, so I just went up to her and pissed on the floor right then and there, while staring at her face.
Nope. We raised our hand, or went up to the teachers desk. It just depended on the classroom.
In kindergarten the bathroom was in the classroom, I don’t think we had to ask, I don’t remember.
We had to raise our hand & then ask to go. I found that awkward so most days I went just before leaving home & then didn’t go again until returning home.
I don think I have ever heard of that gesture.
Well it is the Boyscout pledge thing.
“As my three middle fingers as witnesses, I pledge to pee not in my shorts but in the proper receptacle. So may I go out?” ( Boy Scout Rule #23 )
